$10,000+ of recommended monthly support

VBM recommends missionaries raise a minimum of $10,000 per month of support. There are many missionaries who have well over $10k a month of support, including several directors who have anywhere between and upwards of $14,000 - $19,000 of monthly support, yet they use the non-profit status of the mission board to claim to the IRS that they live "below the poverty level."

Vision Baptist Missions suggests and recommends all their missionaries raise a minimum of $10,000 per month to cover:

• Salary
• Housing
• Utilities
• Furlough savings
• $1,000+ per month retirement savings usually with Chris Gardner through Edward Jones
• $400-525 per month of VBM Home Office support
• Regional Conference Trips savings
• Vehicle(s) replacement savings
• Emergency savings
• Prayer Letters
• Ministry
• etc.

VBM also usually recommends that all missionaries raise set up funds to move to the mission field in the ballpark of $100,000.
